In the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to work as a Biomedical Engineering Intern at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. I worked alongside clinicians to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning medical devices within the hospital setting.I worked most frequently with the B Braun Infusomat Space Volumetric Infusion Pump. From this, I gained electrical skills, an understanding of service manuals and schematics, communication and documentation abilities, and the ability to work under time-sensitive situations.

Additionally, I conducted design research on the inner workings of the ICU and Emergency Department. I also observed countless surgeries using robotic devices, such as the Da Vinci, discussed problems within the realm of healthcare and medicine with physicians and nurses, and identified tensions, insights, and key questions on the issues.
